Indications:

Chlorpheniramine Maleate Injection belongs to the first-generation antihistamine drugs. It is only used in cases of acute severe allergies or when oral administration is not possible. This is because it has very prominent side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness, and it is a prescription injection. It must be administered by a doctor and cannot be purchased for injection on your own.

Contra-indications:

1.It is definitely not a household emergency medicine. Self-injection cannot ensure the correct dosage and it is impossible to provide timely rescue in case of severe allergies.
2.Those who are allergic to chlorpheniramine maleate, those experiencing an epileptic seizure, those with narrow-angle glaucoma, and those with benign prostatic hyperplasia causing difficulty in urination should avoid or use with caution.

Adverse Effects:

After the injection, common side effects include drowsiness, sleepiness, dizziness, lack of concentration, and fatigue.

Overdose may cause difficulty in urination or painful urination, dizziness, headache, dryness in the mouth, nose and throat, nausea, abdominal pain, and rashes; children are more likely to experience restlessness, anxiety, difficulty in sleeping and nervousness.
